Get rid of 90% and more of allergy causing eczema

Dust Mite Treatment Products, Allergy Relief Products The house dust mite is the tiny eight legged relative of the tick and the spider that lives in regular house dust.  The mite itself is not what aggravates your eczema, asthma and other dust related allergy.  Their fecal matter are what spurs the triggers which cause eczema. Each mite relieves itself of fecal matter to the tune of 20 drops per day, with one gram of dust containing in the area of 100,001 of these droppings.  Even after the dust mite itself is dead, the droppings can continue to produce allergic responses.

The majority of the dust mites in your home are most likely living in your mattresses and bedding.  The reason for this is that their main food source are flakes of human skin, the majority of which are shed in your bed, and other places where you spend a good amount of time.  House dust mites also make their homes in carpets, soft furniture and curtains, but these areas contain nowhere as many mites as there are in your bed.  This means that securing your bed is the first step in controlling the effects that the house dust mite plays on your eczema and other related allergies.

The second step is to keep humidity in the rooms where you will be to less than 50%.

The third is to clean carpets and furniture with dust mite treatments.  Also avoid furniture that can not be easily wiped clean.  Avoid fabric or cloth material furniture coverings.  Go for plastic, leather, vinyl, wood or another material.

Dust mites take 25 days to develop from eggs, and live for two or three months.  Female mites over the course of their lifetime will lay about 50 eggs every three weeks.

Dermatologists are now beginning to see clearly that the house dust mite plays a significant role in eczema. Tests have proven that the most important method of controlling the dust mite is to enclose mattresses in a dust mite resistant cover. Mattresses covered in a gortex cover contained 98% less dust than the mattresses without the covers.  The results were that the frequency and the severity of eczema flares was significantly reduced.

This simple yet effective treatment or preventative aid is having a dramatic effect on children and adults who have eczema. When you get your mattress covers, it is best to put a strip of tape over the zipper to better contain the dust.

Once it is in place, it will take a few weeks before results are recognized.  This is the time period that it takes for the mites already there to die out.  However, once this few weeks are over and the initial mites have died, dramatic results are being achieved and should be expected.

If you have no bedding covers, you can also vacuum mattresses, and wash bed clothes
(and also soft toys for that matter) in water temperatures of at least 60 degrees centigrade once per week.

To kill dust mites in toys, put them in a freezer overnight before washing. For storage, soft toys are better kept in a sealed container where they can remain dust free.
